Connecting 8mm cam to Dazzle.

My new iMac and Dazzle brige are arriving today. I'm planning to transfer a stack of 8mm tapes to digital format. Should I invest in some better patch cables or will the standard ones that come with the camcorder be good enough. Would I notice a difference? I know this is a touchy subect!
