My question is maybe trivial but I was wondering what was the best solution to extract the audio track of an MPEG-1 movie (which is MPEG-1 layer 2 I think ?) & convert it for instance in aiff format (either on Classic or Mac OS X) ?

My problem is I'm trying to reencode MPEG1 movies to Sorenson 3 (via raw format), and Quicktime Pro will only accept to export MPEG-1 video but not audio..

First use bbDemux to split the MPEG into separate audio and video files, then you can use Drop Decoder from Proteron to decode the audio. If you can't find bbDemux, I can put it on my Filesharing page.
