Toast worth the $$?

Toast is selling for $70 at amazon (w/rebate). I'm about to start burning CD's and DVD's for the first time (on a new FP iMac) and I'm wondering whether Toast is worth the investment of time and money as a supplement to iTunes2 and iDVD and DiscBurner. Any thoughts?

Some specific questions:

1) I understand that Toast provides for multi-session recording. Sounds good, but for $60 I can buy 250 blank CD-R's. How many of you find multi-session useful?

2) I understand that Toast includes an analog-to-digital recording and editing application. However, I've heard of a free application called Coaster that does the same thing. Any advantage to one or the other?

3) I understand that Toast includes a photo management application that will burn photo CD's. Is there some reason you can't already do this with Disc Burner?

4) While I'm at it, how come OS 9 has Disc Burner listed among the utilities, but OS X doesn't? What am I missing?

Any other good reasons for spending the time and money on Toast?

Thanks for any input, and sorry if any of these are really dumb.

I guess os x is simply trying to integrate disc burner more--you know, so the user doesn't think of it as a separate app but rather an inherent part of the os.

toast titanium is definitely worth the $$. I don't have it, but every day I wish I did. disc burner has this 'copy before copying before burning' thing which is annoying. toast burns right away. and burning is easier, I believe, with its interface. it also works with itunes--drag and drop a playlist from itunes window into toast's audio cd window, and it loads the songs, just ready for you to burn.

it's a quality app in my opinion.
