I'm having trouble with Quicktime 5. I don't know what the problem is but the symptom goes like this:

I open a QT movie to play in-browser (lets use www.apple.com/trailers as a example).

Once it starts to load I start to play it,

The progress then zeros out after a few seconds and I'm left to start reloading again.

Also sometimes It will simply stop loading in the middle.

I've tryed both Netscape 6.1 and IE 5 with the same result. Also tryed changing the connection speed to a slow and faster, neather helped. I'm on a 512kbsCable line.

If anyone has a solution, please respond. Thanks.

Based on your experience, my first suspicion is an internet download problem. Try downloading a file that is at least a couple of MB. Check the size when the download is complete to confirm that you have all of it. If the download is incomplete (or corrupt) you need to troubleshoot the internet.

If the download is ok, then continue to troubleshoot QuickTime. Find out if QuickTime can play files that are on your hard drive already. The issue may be isolated to online files. It's important to know before offering any further advice. Good luck.
