I have looked over the threads in this group, I hope this isn't off-topic.

I have recently downloaded iTunes, and while I find it really nice to use, it seems to skip when playing audio CDs whenever some other process takes over - changing active applications, saving to disk etc. I'm using OS9.1 on a new DV iMac with 128 Mb.

The 'standard' CD player works fine, no skips. MP3s play in iTunes without a glitch. Any thoughts?

I had lots of skipping in any audio application when I have virtual memory on (even set at 1MB over physical memory). With VM off, everything works fine.

You can get more real RAM for your system for about $50 for 128 MB. Consider it the price you would have paid for SoundJam
