using Outlook Express, how do i download movies that are segmented? To open each segment and save individually is boring. There must be a better way. I can't open more than a few at once, not enough memory. How save a batch?
And once they are saved, what program will link them together? and if they are not MPEG or QT, how do i translate them?
Thanks from a newbie.

You will be much happier with a different news client for decoding binaries from news groups. Either Ya-NewsWatcher or MT-NewsWatcher will efficiently 1)Tell you if all the parts of the clip are on your news server 2) Keep track of binaries that have not been completely received yet on the news server 3) Put the parts together and decode them when all parts are received if you ask it to do so. I could be wrong but I do not believe Outlook Express will keep track of incomplete binaries if you choose to not display old messages.
Look for YA-NewsWatcher on Version Tracker or software archives like ZD net and Cnet. The last time I updated YA-NewsWatcher it was freeware. Not sure about MT-NewsWatcher. There is also a new program called Thoth from the author of YA-NewsWatcher. It is shareware but low priced and I am pretty sure it will do the same things YA or MT-NewsWatcher will do.

thanks for your reply.
YANW works with PPP and TCP. I am on a DSL line and it won't work. I guess I'll try MTNW. If that requires TCP have you any other suggestions?

Well, i did get it working. But binaries come out as text in temp files. In preferences I requested show image and auto translation but still, text only. They talk about a manual and tutorial, yet I find neither. Where are they?

Look in the stuffit archive after it is decoded. The URL for the docs online is :
