Anyone use FINALE?? playback problem in X

I use Finale music notation program. I have several versions of the program and in X, the playback doesent work. The QT sounds horrible and you cant tell whats going on. Sounds like a TON of reverb is on the sounds. ANyhow, dosent work. I boot into 9, and everything works fine.
UGH!!! I dont want to have to boot into 9 to do my work.

ANy help??
