I encountered something very weird:

some mpeg files I downloaded seems to have multilayers? when you just press play then I stops at the end, but when I click on the time line during playback I suddenly get to see a piece of the movie which seems to be 'under' the first?

What's this? How come QT doesn't play the whole movie the first time? Or is my QT installation corrupted?

My setup:

imac g4 800mhz
OS X 10.1.4

Ps. I found out that it also happens in OS 9.2 (both native as well in Classic mode)
Take care!

This is what happens when mpeg files are split and then re-joined by a sloppy program that does not recalculate the timecode data. They can usually be re-split by rosetta, so you can at least see all the video, if not in one file. Use "fix," not "split"
blackmail is such an ugly word. I prefer extortion. the X makes it sound cool
