Is it possible to burn a CD that has music in both regular Audio CD format (that will be reconigzed by any old stereo) and also a track that contains MP3 version of the music tracks for computers?

(of course assuming all space constraints are met...)

thanks in advance for any suggestions

I know that Toast 4 Deloxe can do it as I have done it myself once, but I had a strange problem with that CD, 'cause when I popped it into my CD player it read the the data track as the first track on the CD! The real audio started on track 2. I would think that for true 'Enhanced CDs', like when other media is included on an audio CD, you'll need a rewritable CD and burn it in two sessions, first with the audio part, and then the data. But I haven't tried that, so don't take my word for it.

if you want do do this you need ti burn a "CD extra" called "CD plus" too.

CD extra allows to burn many audio tracks followed by one data track (some commercial CD are CD extra, they provide screen saver or other stuff).

Your problem is taht you are burning "CD mixtes", ie: 1 data tracks followed by audio tracks.

Thanks for the info! A friend has Toast 5, but are there separate versions of it, as with Toast 4 OEM and Toast 4 Deluxe? I got Toast 4 Deluxe 'cause there weren't enough options in the version I got with my CD burner, I don't want to install an inferior version of Toast 5 and get fewer options.
