Could it be possible that the daytime load on the networks screwed up QT4 streams? Tonight I played the BBC live broadcast directly in the Quicktime Player and used the Present Movie option to scale it to full screen. It looks great!! (well, great for a low data-rate stream).. my XClaim VR must be smoothing the video. RealVideo can't do any of this so watch out! The stream seems sluggish when I switch it to the background but then again, this is beta. I'm running on a PowerMac 7600 upgraded to a 305 MHz G3 / 280 MB RAM and connected to the Net via cable modem. The hardware-accelerated video is from my ATI XClaim VR 8 MB. Full screen streaming video is scaled to 1024x768 and loses no frames.... But will someone at Apple PLEASE fix the unintuitive favorites drawer and add a "Recent" menu!!!
