Guys,

Macintouch reports that Avid will abandon Mac due to Apple's Final Cut Pro and others? It's time to say no to Avid. They want Apple to stay away from Video? Hello?

Get a Life or get out, avid!

(I am actually an Audio producer using Yosemite, and MOTU 2408 and
this already hangs with (Avid/ Digidesign ProTools and actually with OS X would kick
ProTools ass)

As I hear reports of Avid Dropping Mac development, What a freakin
Joke. But I can not say I am surprised. Avid Digidesign has always been a f****d up'ed company. I hate them. Many in my field do also, they are overpriced and arrogant.

Apple is on the verge of kicking major industry ass with the likes of
Sawtooh/ multiple G4's and OS X, QT 4.0 and Avid pull's this.

I think Avid / Intel partnership has pissed off Apple and rightfully so.

The way Apple sees it (and now Avid) with Final Cut Pro, Quicktime 4,
Sawtooth, OS X, SCREW Avid, Apple will do it Themselves.

(Hey Apple could even screw NT, Intel and Avid by getting the industry hooked on Quicktime 4 and NOT supporting it on Avid / Intel.

But I don't know how they could do this.

Avid is Over Priced Anyhow, Oh Yeah Avid May also be forgetting we have the King of Video Production, Steve Job's and Pixar, I think
something is Brewing here.

Any thoughts

It would nice if Apple port Quicktine to Linux and other UNIXs. QT for Java alone won't work on Linux. Or does it?
