iTunes won't allow sleep

When I'm listening to iTunes, my monitor doesn't "sleep" as described in Energy Saver C/P. As soon as I stop playing music or quit, sleep resumes as scheduled. The same applies for hard disk sleep, but that's fine.
I am not using visuals, and it doesn't matter if iTunes is minimalized or hidden.
Is this just the way it is, or is there a work-around?

It won't allow monitor sleep whenever something is playing, even when not in visuals mode, which I think is stupid. Why keep the monitor running when I'm not using the computer, and only having it play some music?

Imagine if SETI@home did that, what an energy waste that would be.

This is the main reason I still don't use iTunes.

Sebastien-
I couldn't agree more. I really wish mt monitor would sleep. I often have iTunes playing while I do other things.
The only other major problem w/ iTunes/Disc Burner is the "single session" only burn restriction. iTunes should replace Toast et al, not supplement them.
