I put quicktime 4 on a machine connected to a sprint scan 45 slide scanner, and I had nothing but problems. Scanner would stop working halfway into a scan, machine would freeze ect... I was struggling all day trying to get it to work. I fainally realized It must be quicktime somehow, so I downgraded to 3.02

Everything works great now, wierd problem though.

I have an old Apple Color OneScanner that also quit working when I installed QT 4. After an uninstall and a return to QT 3 it works again. Bummer!
My exact configuration is a G3 233 MHz mini tower with 160 MB RAM running OS 8.1. The scanner would work up until any "save" command was executed. "Save" always resulted in a software crash.
