Look likes apple 2 is getting a bit of a bashing. Well I agree with some of his comments. QT4 does hang my machine and does drop my internet connection but there is a solution. It only seems to happen when I am connected to one streaming site and then try and switch to another. If I close the window and then open a new window before switching I have no problems. This problem only occurs when I am connected at home, at work on a LAN I have no problems.
I was not happy using IE to view the BBC news but couldn't work out how to get the site to open in the Player. Eventually I sussed out that by copying the URL to the Open URL... and then pasting at the end of it the filename offered when selecting Save.... from the contextual menu I was able to open the movie in the Player.
I also seem to get much better connections at home when IE is not running at the same time.
Hope this info helps some others enjoy QT4. I definetly get better connections than I do with RealG2.
