I think it would be more appropriate with little less plain bitchin' (like, "the sound sucks"...like I don't think Apple needs us to tell them that?) and a little more constructive ideas or requests. So, this is what I think about the user interface after using QT4b21 for an hour...
¥definitely should have a stop button, because the pause button is no different from pressing the play button when playing. You might not _need_ a stop button, but then again, you don't need this pause button either. I suggest the normal "Play/Pause" button + "Stop" (which will rewind??shall we say?).
¥Try this: push the controller button to get the controllers out (I won't go into how lot of the controllers here don't make any sense...that probably has to do with the lack of a 'play list' and therefore should be resolved by the official release). Now press the 'info' button next to it to get the info window out. Press 'info' again to close the info window. Where the heck is did controller go??? That is silly. Sure, you could have it the way I want by pressing the controller button again (to hide info at the same time bringing out the controllers), but that's just not how buttons are designed. An info button should bring out or close the info window, NOT close the controller window. Please fix.
¥The favorites window. Each window should indicate the title or some kind of info of the file. Alternatively, we can have one of those windows popping out when we put our pointers over the file window. Or, even, we can select a mini-window with 'one' click to have the title appear somewhere. Right now, if you select another window while playing, the play is interrupted..that's stupid. How are we supposed to remember which files are what? (Yeah, sure you can select from the menu bar, but then again, why the darn window to begin with ??)
¥Come to think of it, the term 'Favorites' sounds SOOOO like IE....should change it, IMHO.
¥Whay can't we reshape the interface any way we like using the lower-right-corner, like all good Apple windows? This is like a yukky mixture of a Mac interface and a Win interface. Stick with Mac or go all the way and make it like Win (can reshape in any direction). But PLEASE have my FAVORITE, which is the 'zoom button' of Mac windows (something Windos lacks big time).
