I would like to e-mail an approx. 9 minute iMovie that I've exported to quicktime but the size is too big for my ISP (or the receiving ISP)to deliver (or receive). (I am using a DSL connection)

Are there any relatively easy and inexpensive ways to do this?

Thanks

you'll have to serve it somehow. I'm guessing it's also too big for your isp to want to host it online, so you can serve it from your own computer by going to the System Prefs and finding the Sharing pane and turning on the ftp option (I forget what it's called exactly). Then give your login and password and IP address to the person who wants to download the movie and put it in an obvious place on your hard drive (like the Movies folder). Then tell them to get an FTP client (there are hundreds, but RBrowser for mac and WS_FTP for Windows are common and free). Of course you'll have to leave your computer online all the time until they get it. Also, keep in mind that FTP is not secure at all, so it would be wise to create a new user with limited priviledges and put the movie in the new user's Movies folder (and change the owner to the new user with a program like batChmod, and give the other person the new user's login and pass, not yours)
