i want to start to use my pismo's video capabilities I need to buy a camcorder

which ones can I use
I saw this sony one with
digital 8 i has an I iLink sonys firewire and 8 mm tape does that mean that i can do both digital editing on my pismo and then record back on to tape that I can convert to VHS for friends DVD burning is a long way off for me
