I am running OS 9.0.4 and I keep running into the same alert when i open the DVD player. It says "Apple DVD Player does not support the video card used for the main screen." I have an iMac w/ ATI Rage Pro 8MB vram. The DVD will then refuse to play.[/list]

I had the same problem when i upgraded to 9.2.1 something about updating the firmware didn't allow me to play dvd's which i was formerly able to play on 9.0... the solution that helped me out was to update to Apple DVD 2.7 sorry i cannot remember the case number but its on apples site.
My toys:
iMac DV G3 400mhz, 1 Gig Ram, 10 Gig Hard drive, 60 Gig external firewire,
USB Iomega cd R/W, USB Iomega ZIP 100, Epson 777

Dual 1 GHz G4 512 RAM, Super Drive, 22 inch studio display, CTX 17 inch monitor,
80 GB, 100 GB, 250 GB hard drives,
Sony VX2000
