When I start a new project in Final Cut Pro, I drag and drop all the pictures in the video time line. Of course I want to put transistions between the pictures so they go from one to another smoothly.

What I want to know, is there any way that I can quickly add the same transistion in between all the pictures quickly in one swift move? Instead of drag and drop the transistion in between each indivdual picture.

thanks in advance

I found a great page for Final Cut Pro.
www.2-pop.com

It was there where I found out how to add mutliple trasistions. Here is the answer I got:

Brock...

this is so simple that it will make you spin..

First...to set the default transition that you like. click on the effects tab ...find the transition that you like.
control click it then select "set as default transition" from the contexual menu.

then go back to your project and select all of the clips to be moved to the timeline...then drag them to the canvas window and drop them on the "insert w/ tran" or "overwrite w/ trans"

thata it!!

matt

Im not sure about doing it in Preimere, FCP is way better than Preimere and that is why the company I work for is leaning to FCP.

Feathers, that did cross my mind...but this way is going to be hard to beat in ease and time wise. I'm planning on using AppleScript to do other things with FCP, so i might just add this step in it as well.
