to all,
I have some old photos which I can digitize with a camera. Is there software or other way to then transfer the pics from my computer to video tape? Can "slide show" from JPEG or other software be transferred to video tape?
thanks.

You could put the images into Final Cut Pro and then "Print to Video". That what you're after?

Or iMovie it is cheaper.

As long as the image is of a format that is supported by QuickTime you should be able to load it into iMovie (or FCP). Then just add the images to the timeline, add a soundtrack if you want it, and Export to DV.

If you don't have a DV (FireWire) video camera but do have a Mac with some sort of AV output (composite or S-Video) you can do a similar thing with QuickTime Pro. Using the File->Open Image Sequence menu item select the first image in the set and the playback rate (slowest is a 10 second delay between images). You can the connect the AV port to a video recorder and present this movie full screen to the correct display.
