I need to get my mini disc recordings (DJ stuff) onto CD.

I have an Iomega ZIPCD 650. I noticed that at the back of the unit are two RCA points. Is there software around that could capture the mindisc sound and put it straight onto CD?

Thanks in advance for any help.

the RCA jacks onthe back are for sound out when playing an audio CD.

The easiest way to do it is to plug the line-out of your MD to your sound in jack on your mac (if yours is old enough to have one) and use some sound recording software to record to a 44kHz stereo aiff file. Then the CD-R software can take that and burn it to an audio CD.

jwardell -

Thanks.

Can you suggest any software that would do this?

My personal favorite is Coaster... http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=959

It's freeware, very simple but quite powerful... Good stuff! I use it all the time for similar things...

ProTools free is also nice and you can use real time compressers and limiters if that is something that you would be interested in.
