Can anyone tell me how to convert an .au file to a .aiff file for use as a background music in an iMovie? Would love to use the Notre Dame fight song at a specific point in my Sister;s wedding video.

Convert Machine 1.2 claims to do it in it's description at download.com although I've personally never tried it.

Ultra Recorder 2.4.1 I have used before. It will record any sound that plays in the background in your comp....sound while playing a QT trailer, Sound while Playind DVD, sound when you empty trash or click on a pull down menu, you name it. And it saves in AIFF format.
