I'm trying to get ProTools 5.0 to work on my G4. I install the DAE/DSI v5.0 and when I try to open ProTools I get the following message:
"Unable to create DAE deck"
I am new to the music software scene so I really have no idea what any of this means. i just want to play around in Pro Tools and get a feel for things but I can't do that until I can get the program to work. Any help that is not too over my head would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I've seen the same error - the person who got that was running a pirated (downloaded installer) version.

I haven't tried it myself.

I'm not suggesting anything, merely pointing out a connection. Make sure you install from the CD.
