I heard a rumor that there is a Quicktime glitch that causes movies printed to DV to drop frames when text or picts are present. Has anyone else found this to be the case?

i've had it happen time to time, where i have an image before some video, and the video drops about 2 frames at the start. i've always managed to get around it by puting a 2 frame cross fade transition between the image and video.

This is a render field or render frame problem that is your fault, not Quicktime's - if you pre-render your graphics (or anything not originally video) correctly before inserting them into your movie, or even render your movie correctly, you won't have a problem. I'm sorry but it's a case of RTFM, actually!

What would have been incredibly helpful would have been if you could have been a little more specific in your explanation. Assuming that you know what your are talking about, how should I change the render settings to avoid this problem.?
