I have a G3 (333mhz) with a firewire card. The software is Adobe Premiere LE. when I transfer video from my SONY DC-9, I always get an error message indicating that frames were dropped. I have reduced extensions to bare minimum and have 128 Ram. Any thoughts?

I think the problem is with Premiere. Try using HackTV to capture the clips. It doesn't have any device control, but it always gets perfect captures for me. Go to Apple's website and search for HackTV.
