This may sound like a dumb question, but did you actually try the CD in the stereo? In OS X all Audio CD's show up with aiff files on them.

Actually your CD player does recognize AIFF files. That is the native format for audio CDs. AIFF is (I thinik) the Audio Intercgange File Format. Audio CD tracks are uncomressed, 16bit x 44.1kHz stereo AIFFs.

Don't let any of your PC geek freinds tell you CD files are WAVs. The .wav file on a PeeCee is a container (just like QuickTime). A .wav file can contain data in one of several different audio codecs.

You guys were right. What had happened is the CD did not burn correctly. I was using media that was not compatible with Iomega zip650 usbcd. Thanks.
