i have a mpeg movie (porn) and the action sucks but the soundtrack is awesome!!! (i know, i was shocked myself) but anyways, the music in the background along with the "sounds" the young lady is making makes for a great soundtrack. my question is that i have qt5 pro and when i go to edit menu the "extract tracks" and "import tracks" are not highlighted and i cannot click on them. i also tried to go to the edit menu and try "enable tracks", but again that isnt highlighted either......any ideas???

(i tried to do the same with other movies with the same results)another f.y.i., i just opened up an mp3 and the enable tracks, and disable tracks etc.... are highlighted and usable???? so it works on a mp3 but not on a mpg????

The problem with mpeg files is that they are multiplexed into one track, so you need first to de-multiplex the fil with a program like bbdemux, then convert it into aiff.

I usually don\t bother to do this and just loops my mac output into the input and record that.....
