Dear all,

I recently exported a very large DV file from iMovie, but the QuickTime 5.0 player (not to mention Cleaner) refuses to open it. If I try to force the issue by manually opening it from within the player, I get spectacular crashes.

Is this a limitation of QuickTime, or can I read movies larger than 2GB? I'm using Mac OS 9.1 and I have HFS+ volumes (i.e. no specific limitation on filesize in the disk format)

2 GB, huh? What are you on (hardware, that is)? I haven't really dealt with movies of that size, but since iMovie uses the QT engine it seems strange if the QT player wouldn't be able to open them. Have you tried to increase the memory for Quicktime Player?
