Is it possible to burn back up data with iTunes? My burner came with Toast 4.1 (which I guess will not work with iTunes. Toast does not even read that I have a burner). I went to the Roxio site and according to them 5.0.1 is compatible with iTunes.

Seeing as I haven't the cash-money to pick up toast 5.0.1 I need to know if this can be done with iTunes (or another way). I don't mean to sound totally ignorant here but burning cd's is very new to me. I appreciate your help.

my specs: iMac 450 SE DV+ 128mb, OS X 10.0.3, Iomega Zip650 USBCD

I recommend you toss iTunes and use Toast to burn music CD's. I believe it's possible to remove just two extensions, "Firewire authoring support" and "USB authoring support", and that way still use iTunes to play mp3's, and Toast to burn CD's unobstructed.

Failing that, you can use Apple's Disc Burner to burn data CD's in Mac OS 9.1.

Burning data CD's in OS X is currently not supported, but I've heard that some people can do it in classic with toast 5.01 and certain USB drives.
