We're getting ourselves embroiled in all this 'digital hub' nonsense...

I'm considering a Canon S110 Digital Elph camera. BUT, I have no interest in printing my photos on an inkjet printer. I'm looking for online consumer printing solutions. I want a 'real' photograph, dam't!

I found Ofoto www.ofoto.com . They look really good and inexpensive. Only 49 cents for a 4 x 6" print. No idea if they charge for shipping.

Anyway, are they any good? Anyone use them? Any others I should consider?

Tnx.

I have sent 3 different sets of photos to them. Excellent prints.
Mine came from a Nikon 990 3.3 megapixel camera. I downloaded the pics to my computer, chose the ones I wanted to print, and sent them off. Piece of cake. You can designate number of prints, size, etc. Prints came back within 3-4 days.

Well, in the meantime, I found a ZDNET review of online publishing services. It is a few months old, I believe, but the 'Editor's Choice' is for www.shutterfly.com. Frankly, they look identical, but at least I found an official review of these sites.

It's a very cool concept. Would you say you save money using digital cameras and online printing? It seems to me that there are a lot of cost savings by switching to digital from old style film cameras. Hope so.

I've had great results from ofoto. Their web site works well with a mac, their prints are excellent, and they ship really really fast. I added addresses for grandparents, etc, in their online adress book so now I can ship off pix to relatives right through ofoto. I have even used them to send stuff to Japan.
