Ther tech specs for FCP3 say that real time rendering will only function with a 500+ MHz mac. How disappointing this was to hear, since I have a 400 MHz G4. Does anyone have information that could be usefull to people in my situation. I was only able to find one upgrade option for my mac and frankly I can't afford it. How about overclocking?

I still can't figure out if a DP mac running at 450 would suffice or not. Anybody seen stats on this?

dp = dual proccessor
The 450 mp should work since the single 500 does. Haven't found confirmation yet but soon. Anyone else?

I would like to know if rendering if not realtime, faster in a 400mhz G4 machine running FCP2. All the hypes is on REALTIME but I am not about to shelf my powerbook yet.

Anyone has any hand on experience on FCP3 yet?
