Does anyone use Canon ZR10?
Is it suitable for a beginner?
How is the performence?
I just want to record home video.
The most important point -- Is it Mac compatible? I am using iMac DV.

Yes, it is totally compatible with the Imac DV. I have had it for 2 months now and it has been a pleasure to work with. Great for beginners to novice, as the compact size is its most outstanding feature. Definitely a great purchase for anyone looking to start a new hobby in home/desktop movies...and the price(under $900)..you can beat it!!

I purchased one a month ago and love it. I have an iMac DV, and it works great. Buy, buy, buy!

I bought a ZR10 a couple of weeks ago. It might lack a couple of features a pro might want, but for home movies it's great. Ease of use is excellent. Plus, you can transfer both to and from VHS. I haven't used it with iMovie yet, but it's fully compatible. I recommend it.
