I have several mpg files, and I want to just simply add them all together in one.
But in quicktinme 5 pro, when opening these files, I don't have the options of cutting and copying
does nayine know how I can edit the clips together?
thanx in advance

You need to select an area of the file to cut or copy first. You can choose "Select All" from the edit menu. Once you have a selection, then you can choose to copy and then you can paste into the next file.

MPEG files bind the audio and video tracks together. All I know is that you are going to have a very hard time editing those files. I don't know how it can be done (I've tried, looked, asked too).
Maybe you can get an MPEG->Quicktime converter somewhere?

Right, the problem isn't that you can't copy/paste MPEG data in QT, but that the QT5Pro app. won't let you do it. It worked all right under QT4Pro (also under the QT5beta, I think), and it also works with the Movieplayer 2.x with any version of QT that can read MPEG data, so it seems as if Apple deliberately have limited the possibilities of MPEG editing in QT5! Although I think they're working on full MPEG compatibility for a future version (Video/Audio export from a single Muxed MPEG track etc.).
