I am just getting involved with editing digital footage with Final Cut Pro 1.2.5. Something that we have noticed right off the bat is that the cameras do not always produce contiguous time codes. The cameras in question are a Canon XL1 and a Sony (DSR-200, I think). This makes logging and capturing in FCP more difficult. Any suggestions on how to keep the time codes contiguous? We are going to be taking a lot of footage soon and having to capture a section at a time will be painful.

Any suggestions or comments would be appreciated.
