Hi all,

I save a dv clip from my camcorder, then export to Quicktime format using QuickTime Pro 5 . I use QT Streaming server to broadcast this clip. When I open it with QT Player, it will complain "Unsupported Media" . I guess it didn't like the way I converted from DV to Quicktime.

Thanks for any tips.

-Larry

P.S. I tried to search on this topic but the site is *extremely slow*

Thank you for the link. I followed the instruction on that site. I could broadcast now. However, the streaming is not continuous. I have decent connection (almost = T1 line). I did play with the video compression settings just to see if it gets any better. No luck. I guess I better do some more reading/research.

Thanks again.

Are you using QuickTime 4 or 5? QT5 has a better buffering scheme than QuickTime 4.

What you are using for a server also affects performance. I'm using a beige G3 tower (266MHz) with QTSS 3 and QT5 clients. It has no troubles sustaining several 1Mb streams.
