My GF just purchased a Sony TRV-130 Digital8 camera. It is not listed as supported on the Apple site although the TRV120 is. Anyone have experience with this camera? I would like to know before I purchase the 4-6 pin cable. I suggested an exchange for a directly supported camera and was met with a blank stare. The issue being she does not think of software support as important at this time, but I am sure that will come later and I don't want her to be disapointed.

I would think so. Sony has upgaded all of their dv camcorders recently and I bet Apple hasn't updated the list yet. I have a TRV 120 and it works great w/ iMovie. I just got FCP but I haven't tried the camcorder on it yet.

I have a TRV-103, the model that your GF's 130 replaced. It works great with FCP and iMovie... it uses Sony's DV Protocol and resonds to FCP's great device control wonderfully. Enjoy, I would assume that the newer model she has work just as well.
