Megapixel DV Camcorders Worth It?

I'm looking to buy a DV camcorder, and some are touted as having over 1 megapixel CCDs. Are these woth it? Whats the max resolution that you get on a standard TV? For still shots, I plan to also get a digital still, so the still photo capability of a camcorder doesn't interest me much. Will a megapixel DV allow me to pull a better quality still shot from video footage taken?
