I am exporting a few short clips from FCP to mpegs (toast VCD) and it is taking me about 30 minutes for a 3 minute clip.
I am running FCP3 in 10.1.3 on a dual 450 with a full 1.5 gig of RAM.

I imagine if I change the quality settings I would get quicker results, but I wanted to ask if my export times are reasonable?

There is not any effects or extras added to the clip to slow it down.

Any tricks for speeding this up?

MPEG encoding is just slow I do belive. sadly.
