In my previous post (here), I had a problem with FCP movies... now, I've just found, when trying to capture from the camera... WATCHING on screen in VTR mode, I have the same problems; and when capturing. Its slow and messed up... there are white horizontal artifacts - most visible around the edges of "objects".

I'm gonna try and change the settings around, maybe its on the wrong res or something... this is a PAL camera, btw... but if anyone has any ideas...

TIA

Installed a clean system; installed FCP 1.25.

Works fine - I don't know, nor care which was the problem (system, quicktime, fcp, whatever) right now

Yikes,

That's crazy, all of that trouble with FCP2. I'm going to be taking some DV classes next spring, and was contemplating buying FCP2. Hopefully they'll get some of these nifty little quirks worked out, release an OSX version, or ideally, both

FCP2 might not have been the problem.

It could have been any number of factors... QuickTime, FCP2, my system (customised and hacked to bits... she was gonna bite me in the ass eventually. But, as soon as I'm done with this vid, I'm ditching OS9.1 and going back to her! )... I honestly don't know.

Given 5 minutes I could find out... but I don't wanna break whats working right now.
