Using a microphone with my camcorder???

I have a JVC, GR-DVL-300, and would like to know if it is possible to attach a microphone to it? If anybody has any info, please help!! Thanks

for whatever reason JVC failed to include a mic jack on that model. i guess the built in mic will have to do

Annoying isn't it, I've just completed a project where I used a MiniDisc recorder & stereo mics and sync'd it with the video in iMovie. They were long cuts, so it was pretty easy.
The end result turned out great...
