How can I play an AVI file on a Mac. My quicktime won't play it. My Windows Media Player won't play it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

It sounds like you are missing a required codec. A codec (like Sorenson, Cinepak, 3ivx, etc.) is a way to compress (and play back) your video. Which version of QuickTime do you have? Try using QuickTime's update feature, and see if it finds something new for you (hopefully a codec you might be missing). Hopefully that helps.

Install all the Indeo codecs, then get:
http://mac.divx.st

DivX player. It should work.
