(not sure if my post is in right forum, excuse if it is not)

I received the Ghost Dog DVD as a present yesterday, but my Pismo is no able to show me the movie;

I see the dvd menu, but when I click "Play the movie", it doesn't work, not a crash nor a freeze, simply I hear the music skipping and I don't see the images;
I have tried another copy of the DVD (ghost dog is quite popular here in italy), and the same happened, so it's not a "bad toasted dvd" problem; the same dvd works fine w/ a standalone dvd player

On the dvd box, I've read that:

"the video format is 4/3 letterbox and has been chosen by Jim Jarmush himself"

is this that is causing the trouble?
btw, I appreciate the choice JJ choosed, as I don't own a 16:9 television

so, I want to watch Ghost Dog using my Pismo, can somebody help me?

Save yourself and return the movie pronto. I'm a Forest Whitiker fan, but that movie was very very bad. It's the kind that shouldn't have even been made. I mean the concept was good, but the writing and screenplay was horrible.

But as far as your it seems like the problem is that the two devices aren't compatible. As far as format wise. I don't know you'll have to seek a higher knowledge than mine.

Why would Itlians love the movie? Ghost Dog kills them all?
