Are there any good editors out there?
I'm looking to work with a variety of formats, but aif and wav are essential.

Hope someone's had some good experiences that they'd be willing to share!
Cheers,
ant

Ah....Thats been my weekends endeavor...looking for the best sound program for OSX. I have narrowed it down to Bias Peak DV as the first choice and Spark LE or Peak LE as the second and third. Peak DV is definatly the way to go, but its pricey. Spark LE has a nice VST sound machine that can accomodate up to 4 plugins real time. Amadeus and Spark ME are basic and primitive but will to in a pinch.

Hmm, thanks for the recommendations - now I have some good place to start, I think.

The killer app I've found for stitching loops etc together is Ableton Live (www.ableton.com). It is MIND-BLOWINGLY good, but it doesn't have a sample editor. There's a free demo available which allows you to use all functionality except "Save" for up to 30 minutes at a time. Definitely worth checking out.

Thanks Dennny,
Ant
