Well, there's the tutorial included with FCP2- and there's always the stuff at dvcreators.net... as you say, these are really too much material for the purpose you have in mind.
I think you may have to distill information from these sources into a tutorial that meets your needs best. Most of the information out there well exceeds ten pages, so pick what you think are the most important points for your students, and write it yourself.
I know if I were doing it, I would want to cover:
- The interface layout and tools.
How to import footage from the camera.
how to use the razor blade tool.
how to use the tracks layout.
how to preview edited footage.
how to export to camera.
how to export to iDVD / DVD Studio Pro.
In fact, if you make up this tutorial, could I get a copy of it?
