Time delayed recording of radio show via iMac?

There is a radio show that comes on in the middle of the night in my area. I would like to be able to record it much like one does with a VCR. You tell it what time, what channel, keep your fingers very much crossed, etc...

But I want to do that with a radio program (over the air, not internet) and I want it to go directly to CD.

I have an iMac SE, with a QPS external burner and Toast 5 Titanium.

I can feed the radio signal into the sound input of the iMac easily enough. Is there a way to get Toast to start recording at a certain time and to burn directly to the CD without first saving to the hard drive? The program is an hour long and should fit nicely on a CD.

Is there any software that can do that?

Thank you very much for any help.

Hi,
Why not try this? Whenever I want to save any audio from TV or radio I first record it to video audio tracks on my Hi-Fi VCR (standard hookups & time delay) so I can work with it at my leisure. Hi-Fi audio is of fairy high quality. Hope this helps.
