I downloaded a ".mpg" file of a television episode. The episode is 42 minutes long. The file size is 180 Meg. For some reason Quicktime Player thinks the episode is just 7 minutes long and will only display or recongize the first 7 minutes.

I tried viewing the episode with Windows Media Player inside of Virtual PC and it recognizes the full length (42 minutes).

I have seen this with other movie files in the past. Does anyone know why this is so? Is there a way for me to fix the file or convert the file where I can view it properly with Quicktime Player?

Thanks in advance!

Yeah, this usually happens to many of the downloaded pornos too

One way of doing it is using BBDemux to split the file into separate movie and sound tracks, then using something else (cleaner) to recombine them, copying and pasting in QuickTime player never works. But for the pornos I just play the sound and video tracks simultaneous in two windows. Who cares about synchronized audio in porn anyways?

Cheerzz!
