I burned my first Video DVD-R the other day, and tested it out on my set-top box. It played okay, until I tried going to the 'slideshow' of images I'd created (there was a short movie section, then a slideshow). The set-top DVD Player (A Sony DVP-S560D) whirred and whirred and whirred and finally gave up giving the error for a 'dirty disc'. Now the player won't mount any DVDs at all! The DVP-S560 is on apple's list of 'compatible' players (don't know if there's any difference between the S560 and S560D). So be very careful. If it seems like your player's not too happy with the DVD-R, I'd advise to eject the disc ASAP.

Is that a 5 disk changer version. The reason I ask is because MY Sony did the same thing. It doesn't have a thing to do with the DVD-R, it's the player... Take it back or buy a new one... It only took Sony a month for them to get mine fixed and returned to me...

It wasn't a 5-disc changer, but of course, I'm open to the option that it's just coincidence. The player's in the shop right now... But I've had rotten luck with Sony products in the past, that's for sure.
