I frequently take my PowerBook G4 on trips with my college sports teams, and we usually watch DVDs on them. I find that there is never sufficient volume produced by DVD player for OS 9 or OS X that can compete with ambient noise of travelling and I know it's not because of the speakers because I play .mpg files in QT Player and have never had a problem with not enough sound. Anyone know how to punp up the volume?

I don't know if you've already tried this one, but I'll give it to you anyway. The DVD volume and the system volume aren't the same. The DVD's volume will actually max out at the setting of the System. You might try raising the system sound.

I do the same thing and have experienced the same problem. The only solution I was able to come up with was to buy a cheap pair of computer speakers that ran on batteries.
