Subject: QuickTime 4.0 HREF Tracks

After downloading 4.0 and trying to view the university web site I maintain, I encountered some problems. I use QuickTime's HREF track feature extensively on our website for online lectures, where we have a QT movie playing in one corner of the screen that then references a frame containing a larger version of the speakers slides. Anyhoo, after downloading QT4, the first 3 seconds of a lecture would play, and then stop. According to the status bar on MSIE 4.5, the whole file has downloaded, but still it only plays the first 3 seconds. I've also encountered this same problem on WinNT QT 4.0 using Explorer, and using Netscape 4.5 on a Mac. I was curious if any one else is experiencing this problem while viewing HREF track embedded QT movies. I tried to view Apples's HREF track sample movie on their web site, but a file not found page occourred (which is the case for many of their samples). Since I am not aware of many sites that use the HREF track feature, it's been difficult for me to judge if this is an isolated problem with my site alone, or if this is a standard problem for HREF track movies in general. If any one is interested in trying out the site I'm maintaining and having difficulties with, visit http://www.biotech.wisc.edu/Lectures. Any feedback on your QT4 experiences viewing this site would be much appreciated.

P.S. I was able to play the movie by click "stop" on Netscape to stop the partially downloaded movie, then click on "reload" and this time the movie play and slide were displayed in sync with the movie. This is from 768kbps DSL connection.
