Hi All,

Have any of you seen a Yak appear on your desktop spewing a seemingly endless string of incomplete phrases? This occurs only after waking the computer when using FCP and a message box is on screen. As soon as the message box is clicked in, the Yak run's off the right side of the screen. While it does not seem malicious, I would nonetheless like to remove it ASAP. I've only seen this occur when booted into 9.x.

The Yak has been part of FCP for years. Even shows up in FCP 2. It is not responding to sleep though. I won't say how, but... Can you find the Yak?

It's the FCP mascot.

Here's how to lure him out...

ctrl (or right)-click the grey field just above the frame-counter in the canvas window.

You'll get up a contextual menu saying "I'm not that easy"
Select it a few times until you get the menu that says "Call the Yak".

Select it and the yak will appear from the right-end of your screen chatting away.

It's good to see that SOME Apple-engineers are allowed to put in easter eggs anymore...
